It's that time of year again!~ Silicon Valley Open Studios!
I was able to paint over the summer a little, working on three big oil canvases and a few small watercolors. The dates this year are the 5th of May 11-5 pm and the 6th of May from 12-5 pm.
Next Sunday (5/13) is Mother's Day so why not be prepared with the gift of original art! We have plenty of nice restaurants near by to make a day of visiting the studio. I love this time to reconnect with friends, family, and students, so please come on by for some refreshments, community and of course, ART!
I'm in studio #8 in the main hall. We're at 1022 North Idaho in San Mateo, but it feels like the industrial part of Burlingame, next to La Norteños Tortilla factory and Nini's Cafe on the corner. There's also Kitchentown and Hot Wok Bistro for a great meal.
Please click Portfolio and then roll over the first 12 pictures there, they are all folders to view more of my work! Click on any of the pictures to see the artwork in that folder.
Some information about me: I am a fourth-generation San Franciscan. I attended Mercy High School in San Francisco and The University of California at Santa Barbara where I graduated with my BA in Art Studio in 1991 and my Masters of Education in 2004. I moved to South America in 1995 to work as an art teacher in Barranquilla, Colombia. When I moved back to the States, I started the Art Department at Junipero Serra High School and this is my 20th year there. I also just graduated from Palo Alto University (the old Pacific Graduate School of Psychology) with my Masters in Counseling. I am teaching ceramics at Serra and getting my licensure hours at Cañada Community College.
Although I am busy, I would love to show you my work either at Silicon Valley Open Studios or privately by appointment. Please email me if you would like a private viewing: Peggy's email
